Spike TV – Playbook 360

Just got back from shooting two episodes of Playbook 360 for Spike TV at Northstar California. The show was hosted by Dhani Jones and featured Pro snowboarder Jamie Anderson and Pro skier David Wise. Jamie is a South Tahoe local and probably the most solid slopestyle rider in the game, she has won 4 X Games gold medals. David is also from Reno/Tahoe area and has won the gold medal the past two X Games in Skier halfpipe. It was truly and honor to work with such talented athletes.

The team from Deep Roots Media was in full effect on the production side. My good friend Dane Henry, owner of Deep Roots Media, was the Director of Photography on this project and I was the second camera. We had tons of help from our AC’s John Considine and Luis Rubio. Principle photography was shot on the RED Epic and 5dmkII. Such a fun shoot with a great crew!

Look out for the episodes on Spike TV, they will air in late February & early March.

Amgen Tour of California

Dane Henry and myself had the honor of producing a promo piece for the Lake Tahoe Visitors Authority and the Amgen Tour of California. The Amgen tour is the largest cycling event in America, and resembles the famous Tour de France style of race. The tour has eight stops around California, starting here in South Lake Tahoe.

We had an amazing morning for filming, I was part of the ground crew, and setup on fannette island in emerald bay to interview the mayor. Dane was buzzing around us in a helicopter shooting the amazing aerial footage and also put together the edit. This video was shot, edited and delivered all in one day.

Fleece-a-Nista – Fashion Photo & Video Shoot

This was a great shoot, something a little different than the usual. I tagged along as Dane Henry’s grip, and shot some behind the scenes footage for photographer Colin Vincent. Dane and I headed up to the North Shore to meet up with Colin. Colin was shooting the new line of fleece wear from “Fleece-a-Nista”, designed by Jeane F. Colin is a very talented photographer, and also a really nice guy. You can check some more of his work at his web site colinvincent.com .
