]]> I have been documenting the building of the new Tamarack lodge since the end of the summer. It’s been really interesting to watch the building process, especially over the last month were it really started to take shape. Heavenly hasn’t had a new on mountain lodge in over 31 years, I definitely think it was over due. The Tamarack lodges is probably one of the nicest lodges I’ve seen in the Tahoe Basin, simple design yet well done with attention to detail. Think I found a new spot for a Beer. I’m really proud of this edit, I dug up some old 1957 footage from our Heavenly archive, which was a honor to play with. It incorporated well into this piece. From start to finish only 135 days.

]]> Headed up the mountain today to check out the new Tamarack lodge at the top of the gondola. Today marked the 101 day of construction, these guys are moving along at a rapid pace. Amazing job to get this lodge open for this season, especially since all material has to be brought up to 9150 feet. Check out what the inside looks like.
