It’s the third year in a row I’ve been hired to shoot and edit the highlight/sizzle reel for the NPC/IFBB Tahoe Show. The Tahoe Show is one of the largest and anticipated bodybuilding contest in Northern California and Nevada. I always have a fun time shooting this event, even though it’s some what different from what I normally shoot. I try to give an overall recap of the event, showing the competitors behind the scenes, on stage and small details that are all part of the show.

For the past two ski seasons I’ve worked with the marketing team out at Kirkwood Mountain Resort to produce the weekly “Dispatch” web videos, which highlights the current conditions and events happening at the resort. Kirkwood is a really special and unique ski resort with amazing scenic beauty and incredible snowfall on a typical year.

The last six months learning to fly my DJI Phantom 2 helicopter has been a blast, easily the most fun I’ve had capturing content in a long time. While I consider this little drone a powerful film making tool, I also really just enjoy flying the thing. It’s like I have a new hobby also! I hoped to use this setup to shoot skiing and snowboarding this winter, however, lack of snow in Tahoe killed that plan. But, with all the nice mild days, I’ve had plenty of optimal weather to fly in.
